Basil's school visit.

Today I brought by cat Basil to school.

He is only a kitten but is very playful at times. When I brought him into the classroom he was quite shy because it was all new to him. Everybody loved him!! He was left at the S.P.C.A unwanted, and that's hard to believe but know one wanted him at his old home. When we adopted him he could fit into the palm of my mums hand! We got Basil because our old cat Lily died. Lily was about 15 - 16 years old so she had a nice long life. Basil might come back next term when he is bigger.

I love cats and I really love my cat, and Nile loves my cat too!!!

Memory Game

This morning Nile room played a memory game.

You had say 1 - 2 words about something in the holidays you did. It was it got harder and harder after each person! I chose minecraft because I love minecraft!!! We also have a new boy in our class called Aryan! Welcome to Auckland Point Aryan!

Our last person was Bradley he did had a little helpful but not wanted help from Dylan and Aucks. Everyone laughed at the fact that Aucks and Dylan's "help".

Bradley did very well.

Deklen's Holiday

5 days ago I had a talk with Deklen about his holiday.
He played Minecraft and built a huge city. I thought he seemed quite proud of himself. He also travelled to O kiwi bay and he went fishing, while he was fishing he caught a barracouta. After traveling to O kiwi bay his family set off for Christchurch to visit some friends. He almost did all the exact same stuff as me! He travelled to O kiwi bay, I travelled to Golden Bay, he caught a fish and I caught a fish. He also played the best game ever, Minecraft and I also played Minecraft.
I think Deklen had an interesting holiday.

Freerice website

For the past week I have been playing the game Freerice.
Freerice tells you Questions and if you answer correctly the website donates 10 grains of rice to the poor. 100 grains of rice, (Ten Questions) is enough for one meal. This is a very good website as it helps you learn spelling and also stops the poor from starving.
Try out this website sometime and try beat my high score of 1180 grains of rice.

Holiday Interview Questions

This term Nile room has been focusing on open and closed Questions. We will be interviewing our junior buddies on wednesday.

A: By Car.

A: A wonderful holiday at a Golden Beach. (Golden Bay Tata Beach).

A: A lovely Spaghetti Bolognese dinner and other Yummy food

A: Because I had no homework!

A: Being with my family on holiday

Today we are having an easy day and we had free maths time.

NZ Summertime art

Today Nile Room launches into day 2 of our NZ summertime art.
Our class stated the dyeing part of our artwork. We are all proud of our work and will continue to finish our fabulous art. Judith (our art teacher) has been helping and encouraging us along the way.
This week at Assembly we will show our artwork to the other students and the parent guests.
You are welcome to come to Assembly and be with us for the last half an hour of school. (Assembly starts at 2:30 - 3:00) We all enjoy doing artwork with our art teacher Judith.

School swimming sports.

Today on the 27th of February our school hosted and participated in our swimming sports.
We had performances for each age group, Year 1 and 2, year 2 and 3 and last we had my age group Year 4,5 and 6.
After our performances we had heats (races) We first had 2 freestyle heats with windmill arms.
After that we then had 1 backstroke heat. After our fabulous effort we all jumped into the pool and started making a Ms kelly whirlpool. Then it got even more fun when noodles were thrown in the pool. It was a mess! Noodles and balls flying everywhere, kids rushing past each other! After the Ms kelly whirlpool we all clambered out of the pool and got dressed. I had a lot of fun today.
