Salmon Update Whaitiri

The little alevins are turning into fry because they are buttoning up. Buttoning up means when they are losing their yolk and their silver belly is covering the yolk. So we need to start teaching them how to feed, "I would really like to do that sometime".  We are testing the water so the fish are comfortable. We have to do water testing with chemicals. The colour of ammonia is yellow, pH is blue and nitrite is pinkish red. Ricky mostly tests the water. He tests the water before school, before morning tea, before lunch, before brain break and before home time. Things have been going good with our salmon.
