Today we are having an easy day and we had free maths time.

This is my Sword (top) and laser battle rifle (bottom) I had lots of fun making these weapons. I hope we get to do this again sometime.

Thinker's Keys: Variation Key

We had to write about Variation. 

We could write about how to get to school without going in a car. These are my ideas.

Wall treasure hunt: Five Letter Words

This is Rueben and me holding our words.  I am holding Ms Kelly's because I rubbed out all of my words.

 

Ms Kelly would like to add that she learnt that writing her words all over the place took up heaps of time when it came to counting them so she could do more than Rueben and Quentin. Rueben's... so neat and tidy and easy to count and he won! 

Five Letter word hunt...

This is Quentin and Reuben with our spelling words  from the spelling treasure hunt. We needed five letter words (Quentin looks like that because he hit his funny bone on the cupboard!).

Sarah's Worm Talk

Sarah told us that worms move by ... stretching their long muscles  then Stretching in their round muscles -  that pushes them along.

My maths is about adding up

When I was with Ms Kelly, my group and I did maths, cool.

 

Amber's group is working on using the = symbol as a balance. They are beginning to write equations on one side that are 'the same as' the equations on the other side. Sometimes they still just use the = symbol to show the total.

They think it is a bit like a see-saw!

NZ Summertime art

Today Nile Room launches into day 2 of our NZ summertime art.
Our class stated the dyeing part of our artwork. We are all proud of our work and will continue to finish our fabulous art. Judith (our art teacher) has been helping and encouraging us along the way.
This week at Assembly we will show our artwork to the other students and the parent guests.
You are welcome to come to Assembly and be with us for the last half an hour of school. (Assembly starts at 2:30 - 3:00) We all enjoy doing artwork with our art teacher Judith.
